San Mateo Garden Center

We are a non-profit organization.  The fulfillment of a dream came about, with the help of the City of San Mateo, when the San Mateo Garden Center was dedicated in 1975.

The purpose of the center is to create, encourage and preserve beauty in the community by sharing garden knowledge and providing the opportunity for volunteers to participate.

We have a Garden Shop that offers plants for sale to the public.  This is a fund-raising enterprise as well as an ongoing educational and horticultural propagation center.
